Mrs Kehinde Nwani

Mrs. Kehinde Nwani founded Meadow Hall in 2002.  She obtained her Bachelor of Law degree from the then University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) and was called to the Nigerian Bar over 25 years ago. She practiced law for about 14 years before finally deciding to pursue her lifelong passion of setting up an educational institution.

To adequately equip her for this, she obtained a Montessori diploma, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (International) PGCEi and subsequently a Masters degree in Education from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. She is presently undergoing a PhD programme at the University of Leicester, United Kingdom.

What began as Meadow Hall Infant and Junior school in 2002 has since grown into an Educational group which consists of the Infant and Junior schools on two sites (Lekki and Ikoyi) and a College in Lekki, with a total population of about 1,100 students.

The Group also includes Meadow Hall Consult Limited, a consulting arm set up to provide customized training and consultancy solutions to the education sector. Spring Meadow Limited, an edutainment company which focuses on helping children discover and maximize their creativity. Meadow Hall Branchise Limited, a franchising company that engages in selling Meadow Hall Franchises such as the Music academy, Language School, STEM CENTRE e.t.c.  and Meadow Hall Foundation, a Non-profit making Organization which focuses on CSR projects and other charitable initiatives.

A social entrepreneur, Kehinde has broken new grounds in the area of education as a result of her strong passion for improving the standard and quality of education in Nigeria. The Consult created as a result of her vision has supervised the training of over 3,400 education stakeholders consisting of teachers, school heads, administrators and school owners. She serves as an education consultant to many institutions.

Mrs Nwani has been widely recognized for her educational pursuits, achievements and notable contributions to the growth of education in Nigeria. Consequently, she has received such awards as ‘Entrepreneur of Our Time’ by Junior Achievement Nigeria in 2008. The Fellow for the Order of Sustainable Education’ by the Faculty of Education, Obafemi Awolowo University in 2012 ‘The Christian Business Woman of the Year by the Wise Women Awards in 2013, ‘, ‘Excellence in Quality Education’ at the 2015 Nigeria Entrepreneurs Awards.

Through her Foundation she has been involved in community service projects and charitable initiatives E.g. providing scholarships to indigent pupils, adoption of a public school (Ilasan Primary School), providing various educational resources and infrastructure as well as adequate training for teachers across the private and public sector.  She is very passionate about Teacher Professional Development (TPD) and the Graduate Teacher Training Programme (GTTP), as she believes it is the link between educational reform policies and the actualization of the reforms thereby providing free extensive quality teachers’ training to over Three thousand Teachers and over a hundred Nigerian graduates. The GTTP is solely funded by Meadow Hall.

She is a renowned trainer on; Teacher Professional Development, Personal Effectiveness, School Improvement, Effective Human Resource in Whole School Strategy, 21st Century Learning amongst others.

A life-long learner, Mrs Nwani has attended several trainings including Modern Strategies for Effective EducationThe International Leadership Training by the Leadership Institute, VA, USA, Best Practice in School Management by Accelerated Learning Systems Ltd in London and Values and Teaching Effectiveness by the University of Asia and Pacific.

As an educator and an astute entrepreneur Mrs Kehinde Nwani never relents in her efforts in raising the bar of excellence in the educational sector. In 2014, She established Meadow Hall Ikoyi and also commenced the first educational franchise scheme in Nigeria; offering various educational franchise opportunities to investors. Meadow Hall is now a choice destination for parents who desire quality international education for their wards with a fine blend of the Nigerian culture and spiritual development.

Ola Opesan

ola-opesanMr Opesan’s passion for education stems from his natural curiosity and his insatiable appetite for learning. He trained as a secondary school Maths teacher (PGCE) after a first degree in Business Studies (Marketing) and a Masters in Mass Communications from the University of Leicester. Having worked several jobs before joining the teaching profession, Mr Opesan took on departmental responsibility within his first year of teaching. Soon after changing his school he became the Head of Maths. Later in the same school, George Mitchell, London E11, he gained whole school responsibility as an Assistant Head teacher in charge of Assessment and Reporting. In 2007, Mr Opesan relocated to Lagos as the founding Principal of Meadow Hall College. During his first stint at Meadow Hall, in addition to his College role, the progress of Infant School and Junior School students fell within his ambit when he was designated Education Director of Meadow Hall. Mr Opesan is a highly sought-after trainer in the field of education. He has worked with many educational consultancies, such as Meadow Hall Consult, School Run and BEC (British Education Consultants). He has been privileged to facilitate seminars in renowned institutions such as the University of Lagos, Cambridge University, England, Abuja, Warri and Port Harcourt. Prior to returning to full-time work at Meadow Hall as the Head of School, with an oversight of the Lekki site and the new site in Ikoyi, Mr Opesan spent two years working with James Hope College, Agbor and the AISEN (Association of International School Educators of Nigeria) Head Office. Mr Opesan is a keen sportsman, and a published author who is blessed with two wonderful children currently at university.

Bidemi Oyedepo

A profile teacher, trainer and leader in Education and Pastoral Care, she graduated with a B.Sc honours degree as the best female graduating student from the Department of Botany of the University of Ibadan, in 1995. She also had a Distinction in her executive (postgraduate) diploma from Obafemi Awolowo University with further post graduate studies and qualification from Nottingham University, UK. She has well over a decade and a half cognate working experience that has exposed her to training professionals across several sectors of the economy and has attended several continuous professional development courses in the UK on Literacy, Curriculum, etc.

She is a notable member of Meadow Hall Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

Taiwo Lokulo-Sodipe

A graduate of the ObafemiAwolowo University, Ile-Ife, he was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1991. Taiwo practiced Law for about 9 years before his entrepreneurial drive led him to the Organized Private Sector. He has an MBA (Human Resource option) from the Obafemi Awolowo University with detailed research on Manpower Planning, Training, Development and Productivity in Business Organizations.

His experience spans various sectors; from active Law practice to being the executive legal officer for AIC Limited, Cocoa House, Ibadan. He managed Pioneer Foods and Livestock Nigeria Limited for another 8 years, where he was responsible for defining the organization strategy & implementation, increasing company revenue, customer relationship management and supervised all units to ensure a smooth running of the Company.

Taiwo is a Legal and Human Resource Consultant. He is the Managing Consultant of Enhanced Solutions Limited and a Senior Consultant to the Meadow Hall Group. At both Organisations, he is responsible for Strategic Planning, Leadership Training, Human Capital Management and External Relations.

An associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, He has facilitated many seminars and consulted for various organisations on various topics including; Preparation for the 21st century workplace, Employee engagement, Maximising your Human capital, Structuring your Business for success, Positive work place attitude and creative approaches to employee engagement.

He has attended several trainings including Human Resource Management, Leveraging Human Resources – An imperative in economic tough times, Pension Reform Act 2004; Implication for Human Capital Management, Nigeria Labor Law – Challenges in implementation, Creative Reward Management, amongst others.

Taiye Eseoghene Erhumwunse

Taiye Eseoghene Erhumwunse is a highly skilled education administrator and training consultant who is passionate about the development of education with particular interest in Teacher Training, School Re-structuring and Education Administration & Management with over 7years working experience in the Education sector. She has a Bachelor of Arts and Education degree in English and Literature from the University of Benin and has attended several professional development training.

Taiye has strong competencies in teaching phonics, she is passionate about children and has worked with them on effective pronunciation and reading skills while also motivating and building their skills on confidence and public speaking.

She worked as a Training Analyst with Human Capacity Development Consultants and currently is the Head of Meadow Hall Consult, a role she holds passionately as it is her window to ensure quality education is being handed down to the future generation. In her spare time, Taiye loves spending time with her family. She’s happily married with 2 brilliant children.

Olayinka Obafisoye

Olayinka Obafisoye is an accomplished education practitioner with well over 15 years of teaching and leading experience. Her career is born out of a passion to be an effective instrument of positive change in the education sector. She is driven by the firm belief that “Every Child Matters” and as such make progress, irrespective of their ability. A British citizen, she spent most of her 10 years in England in a Roman Catholic Junior School in the London borough of Havering, where she taught as a class teacher, and also as the Literacy Coordinator. She later on pioneered the position of English as an Additional Language {EAL} Coordinator until the time of her exit in December 2013. Her excellent classroom practices have earned her being referred to as “outstanding” by her previous Headteacher, Mrs Clare D’Netto. She obtained like assessment when observed by OFSTED officials in England. Olayinka was the first Instructor / franchisee in the East London area of Stratford for Kumon -the largest educational body of its kind in the UK. She is proud of her Meadow Hall ‘heritage’ as she was the first Year 4 teacher in the history of the school, eleven years ago. A graduate of the University of Ibadan {B Ed.}. Olayinka holds a Post Graduate Degree from Middlesex University, London and her Qualified Teacher Status {QTS} from the National College of Teaching and Leadership, England.

She also holds a Masters degree in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos, She is happily married with two boys.

Sheila Dykstra

Sheila is a teacher by training, having graduated from Redeemer University in Ancaster, Canada with degrees in Education, French and Missions.

Her 11 years of teaching experience include teaching in Christian schools in Canada, as well as Hillcrest School Jos and the American International School of Abuja.

She is deeply passionate about children and walking with teachers as they explore what it means to be an effective teacher. Since 2008, she has been serving as an Education Consultant with Christian Reformed World Missions, where she does teacher training, curriculum development, dialoguing with schools across West Africa, mentoring and encouraging key leaders/administrators, and participating in African and worldwide discussions on Education.

She works closely with ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) in Nigeria and across West Africa. She believes the key to transformation of a nation begins with its education system.

Prof. Yetunde Ajibade

Prof. Ajibade is a professor and the acting Head of the Department of Special Education and Curriculum studies, Faculty of Education, ObafemiAwolowo University, Ile Ife, Nigeria.She has taught courses in Language education, Instructional processes, Curriculum Development and Innovation in the last 30 years.

In addition to teaching, Prof. Ajibade has been serving the Department, Faculty and University in various capacities. She has served as Chairperson, Departmental Review Committee and Departmental Board of examiners; Chairperson of the Faculty’s teaching Practice committee and the Faculty’s Scholarship committee for years. At the University level, she has also been a member of the Review committee that examines the University’s examination and policy as the concerned staff welfare.

She was part of the team that designed the “Promoting Excellence in Teaching’ programme for ObafemiAwolowo University, the first of its kind in any Nigerian University. She was also on the team that developed a French training manual for primary and secondary school teachers and French text and workbooks along with teachers’ guides for primary schools.

Not only does her membership of two professional associations one in Education and the other in Language attest to her passion for these areas, her research work which is disseminated via workshops, conferences and publications is also an eloquent testimony to this. She has supervised about 30 post graduate students including doctorate students both in curriculum and language.

Prof. Ajibade has participated in over 40 workshops and conferences and has about 35 publications in notable local and international journals and books. A passionate teacher, she has contributed to the development of stakeholders in education both at the personal and individual levels.

She is a Director at Meadow Hall, a reputable institution that provides quality education service.

Dr. Olumide Ige

A lecturer in the Department of Arts & Social Sciences Education, University of Lagos, Akoka-Lagos, Dr. Olumide Ige holds a B.Ed. in Education and Early Childhood Education/Religious Studies, a Ph.D. in Curriculum/Early Childhood Education from the Universities of Ibadan and Lagos respectively, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba-Ikeja.

His current teaching areas include: Early Childhood Care Development and Education, Curriculum Development, Child Psychology, Research Methods, Professional Development, Communication, and Evaluation.

He has written several articles in National and International journals, served as UNICEF resource person in the training of ECD teachers and caregivers in different States of Nigeria. He also serves as a consultant, facilitator and resource person to several organizations, including UNICEF, SUBEBs, Meadowhall Consult and UNILAG Consult. He is the Coordinator of Childworld – a professional live interactive Radio programme on 103.1 fm.

Dr. Blessing Anyikwa

Dr.Anyikwa has been a lecturer for 20years. First at Saint Augustine’s College of Education Akoka were she had been the Head of Department of Teacher Education Department, Co-ordinator of the Center for Educational Technology.

She also taught courses such as Basic teaching skill and principles of teaching. Presently, she is a lecturer at the Faculty of Education, University of Lagos. She has several publications as journals and books. She is involved in monitoring and evaluating teachers at varying levels and external exams. She is married with children.

Daramola Ibikunle

Mr. Daramola Ibikunle joined the Lagos State Civil Service as an inspector of Education where he worked and maintained high standards in education.

Currently, he works in Private Education where he has been deeply involved in the compilation of an enduring policy guideline on the establishment of private schools in Lagos State. He was invited by Accreditation International, a United State Accreditation Group to take part in the accreditation of a few schools for international acceptance and recognition.

The passion to adapt the internationally accepted education standards to private schools led him to raise a memorandum on the grading of private schools which today has acceptance from DFID/DEEPEN (UK based organizations).

Daramola Ibukun is a Resident Pastor of Imowonla Foursquare Gospel Church in Ikorodu, Lagos State. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Education. He is married and blessed with wonderful children and a grandchild.

He is a writer and a publisher of books.

Mrs. Senami Olubunmi Adepoju

Mrs. Senami Olubunmi Adepoju is a passionate educationist. After graduating from the University of Ife some thirty years ago with a B.A.(Hons) in English Studies, she took a Master’s degree in Labour and Industrial Relations from the University of Ibadan, 1990. She obtained a professional certificate from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (London) 1997. Her PGDE was done at the University of Lagos, 1997.

Her teaching career started in 1985 in St Louis Secondary School, Mokola, Ibadan. In 1993, she moved to Lagos and joined Atlantic Hall. There, she spent twenty fruitful years and rose through the ranks. She was the Head of Junior School between 2000 and 2005; Director of Studies, 2006 to 2011 and Director; Examinations and Admissions, 2011 to 2013.

She is married with four children.She really enjoys reading and learning new things. She is self-motivated and capable of multi-tasking. She believes in team work and motivating teams to work hard. She also believes that every individual is worthy of respect, no matter who they are and encourages mutual respect.

Mrs. Adepoju is comfortable around teenagers and enjoys helping them cope with emotional and physical changes. She believes that education should be fun. All children should look forward to coming to school, so school time should be full of memories that will last a life time.

Ayo Oluyemi

Ayo Oluyemi is a seasoned educationist with special interest in Early Years education. She has over 15 years experience working with children in the college, primary and nursery stages of education. She has spent the greater number of her working years in the nursery, with a bias for children with learning disabilities.

She holds a B.Ed in Guidance and Counselling and has attended courses on various fields of early years education in both Nigeria and the UK. She has a strong passion for making positive deposits in the lives of people and also volunteers in nation building works. She writes in her spare time and enjoys African poetry.
