A lecturer in the Department of Arts & Social Sciences Education, University of Lagos, Akoka-Lagos, Dr. Olumide Ige holds a B.Ed. in Education and Early Childhood Education/Religious Studies, a Ph.D. in Curriculum/Early Childhood Education from the Universities of Ibadan and Lagos respectively, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba-Ikeja.

His current teaching areas include: Early Childhood Care Development and Education, Curriculum Development, Child Psychology, Research Methods, Professional Development, Communication, and Evaluation.

He has written several articles in National and International journals, served as UNICEF resource person in the training of ECD teachers and caregivers in different States of Nigeria.

He also serves as a consultant, facilitator and resource person to several organizations, including UNICEF, SUBEBs, Meadowhall Consult and UNILAG Consult. He is the Coordinator of Childworld – a professional live interactive Radio programme on 103.1 fm.
