Prof. Yetunde Ajibade

Prof. Ajibade is a professor and the acting Head of the Department of Special Education and Curriculum studies, Faculty of Education, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Nigeria.

She has taught courses in Language education, Instructional processes, Curriculum Development and Innovation in the last 30 years.

In addition to teaching, Prof. Ajibade has been serving the Department, Faculty and University in various capacities.

She has served as Chairperson, Departmental Review Committee and Departmental Board of examiners; Chairperson of the Faculty’s teaching Practice committee and the Faculty’s Scholarship committee for years.

At the University level, she has also been a member of the Review committee that examines the University’s examination and policy as the concerned staff welfare.

She was part of the team that designed the 'Promoting Excellence in Teaching' programme for Obafemi Awolowo University, the first of its kind in any Nigerian University.

She was also on the team that developed a French training manual for primary and secondary school teachers and French text and workbooks along with teachers’ guides for primary schools.

Not only does her membership of two professional associations one in Education and the other in Language attest to her passion for these areas, her research work which is disseminated via workshops, conferences and publications is also an eloquent testimony to this.

She has supervised about 30 post graduate students including doctorate students both in curriculum and language.

Prof. Ajibade has participated in over 40 workshops and conferences and has about 35 publications in notable local and international journals and books.

A passionate teacher, she has contributed to the development of stakeholders in education both at the personal and individual levels.

She is a Director at Meadow Hall, a reputable institution that provides quality education service.
